A lot of people take vitamin supplements for their health, but did you know that dog vitamins also exist? All living creatures need certain vitamins to stay healthy, and dogs certainly fit the bill!
Most dogs get their vitamins from commercial food dog diets. However, pet owners can still give health supplements to their pets. This is especially true when you choose to feed your dogs with a home-prepared diet. Consult your veterinarian about what vitamins you can give to your dog.
3 Essential Dog Vitamins for a Healthy Pet
Your dog can’t talk to tell you what they’re feeling. It’s up to you as a pet owner to make sure your dog’s health is on the right track! Here are some of the essential vitamins and minerals you can give them to make sure they’re in barkin’ good health!
- B Vitamins: B vitamins are especially important for dogs, as they are vital in several bodily functions. Aside from being responsible for glucose generation, dogs need Vitamin B6 for red blood cell production and nervous system function. Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin, is important for optimum function of the canine nervous system.
AppeBoost has Vit. B12 which can also help in boosting your dog’s appetite, and Vit. B6 that can help give your dog energy!
- Vitamin C: Vitamin C or ascorbic acid helps improve immune system function by enhancing white blood cell activity. It also increases the blood levels of interferon (the body’s natural antiviral and anti-cancer compound) and antibodies (proteins that destroy foreign material, such as toxins, viruses, and bacteria).
PetSure has Vit. C to help improve the immune system of your furbaby! It also contains Zinc, which helps keep your dog’s skin and coat stay healthy!
- Vitamin D: The “sunshine vitamin” allows your dog’s body to balance minerals like phosphorous and calcium for healthy bone growth. Without it, your dog would not be able to develop properly or maintain healthy muscles and bones.
Growth Advance has Vit. D working together with Chlorella Growth Factor, Lysine and Taurine to help in the development of bones and muscles of a growing dog. Taurine and Lysine are both essential amino acids, which are important building blocks of protein and muscles in the body. Lysine helps in fortifying the immune system. Taurine, on the other hand, primarily contributes to healthy heart muscle function.

Can i give my dog these three vitamins simultaneously?
Hi Diane!
Our resident vet recommends either to give Appeboost + PetSure if you want your dog to have a good immunity and to boost their appetite OR Growth Advance + PetSure for growing puppies because of CGF (Chlorella Growth Factor) and to boost immunity. It is not advisable to give all three simultaneously. Thank you!
